Episódios

  • Live Machine Mix 002 - "White Voodoo"

    05/10/2009

Live Machine Mix 002 - "White Voodoo" is the second installment of Live Machine Mix podcast series. Compared with Live Machine Mix 001, "White Voodoo is a more conventional DJ style mix and features some of our favorite tracks overlaid with dynamic vocals. As usual, we often have multiple loops going to build a textural and evolving sound bed. So between these two editions, we show the two different extremes as to how we approach DJ/live electronic music performance. Our third edition is going to be an exciting, seamless blend of micro-loops and the our machines! In true Kama Sutra Lovers style, no Autotune, pitch correction, or vocal comping was done on the vocals. They are raw live takes! For example, in the "Get Together on the Dance Floor" jam, you'll hear Diana trying out and improvising different vocals in a live context.

  • Live Machine Mix 001 - "C'est la Nuit à Paris"

    05/04/2009 Duração: 28min

The premiere edition of the Live Machine Mix podcast series features us rocking out on our beloved Monomachine and Machinedrum, and Diana's sultry vocals. Besides the machines, we use short loops from three tracks, and a sample of Siddhu's voice. Ableton is used to mix, effect, and filter the audio. There is no autotuning or editing of the vocals. The only post-production on the recording is volume maximization, and a little bit of final equalization. This is material that we are playing in our live shows and have recently written and will be including in our upcoming album.
