How do you REALLY get your day started? How about after lunch--what do you do to GET your energy level BACK UP? What about when you go to a party--what do you do to GET your "party level" UP? Do you like selling? Most people do NOT like selling. Most people do NOT like salespeople. But...that is not good. We ALL have to sell EVERYDAY. Moms sell their ideas to kids--eat your carrots, they're good for your eyes. Don't sit too close to the TV or you'll need glasses. Employees sell their ideas to their bosses/companies--If we changed the color of the design more people might be interested in it. If you have a good recommendation, you sell it to your friends--You really need to see this new movie. I saw it last night and it is excellent. Selling is not so bad...as long as you are selling something that is TRULY good. And there are lots of TRULY good things out there, right? Today's podcast will teach you another word for SELLING!! Monday!! I like Mondays...sorry^^ Today's expression is really good--when you are waiting for someone else to make a decision for you but people ask you what you are going to do... For example: I want to go on a date with Sue. I sent her a text: "Would you like to go to the movies with me on Friday night?" However, so far, no answer. Then my friend asks me, "Hey, Shane! Are you going to the movies with Sue on Friday night?" Well...I'm still waiting for her answer, right? Once I know HER answer, I can tell my friend Yes or No!! Do you have any experience with SUCCESS? Think about what kinds of successes you have had. Make a short list. They can be simple successes or great successes. After you make a list, FIND a similarity. There might be many--focus, concentration, luck, practice, love, passion, enthusiasm, knowledge, experience... Sometimes you will see a person at the office or at school or on the street who is wearing clothes or a hat or shoes or something that SEEMS to be SHOUTING AT YOU!! It is saying, "HEY! Look at me!! When I lived in the desert of Nevada in the Southwestern US, it was beautiful...but...there was a HUGE lack of color. All the colors blended together. NOT ugly...but no variety. The same is similar where I live in Chicago--but it's quite different. Today's expression will help you classify a group of colors--browns, yellows, oranges...greens, some grayish-blues--colors that you see in your natural environment! In most cases, they are beautiful colors, but not colors you really want to wear! It's raining where I am--all day! I love it! I hope you are having a super day where you are!
