Joker is undeniably one of the biggest films of 2019 - both financially and culturally - so when Ali got the chance to speak to its director, Todd Phillips, he jumped at the chance, talking about the movie's phenomenal success and the possibility, just maybe, of a sequel...

Here, Rian talks to Ali about the films that inspired him, constructing such a complicated narrative, getting Craig on board and much more besides.
