One of Ali's favourite Christmas movies of recent years - and maybe, just maybe, *ever* - is Klaus, the animated triumph from SPA Studios available to watch all-year round on that there Netflix. After recommending the movie to all and sundry, Ali finally got in touch with the film's writer-director Sergio Pablos to see if he'd be willing to talk about how he made the film, the casting, the animation, the fan reaction each and every year and much much more. And you know what? He said yes, and here is the wonderful result. Merry Christmas one and all, and remember: a true selfless act always sparks another.

It's very nearly the end of 2021, so it's time for a good ol' fashioned Radio 1's Screen Time review-a-palooza, where Ali is joined by friend of the podcast Clarisse Loughrey to talk through some of the biggest releases coming out this month and early 2022, including a tiny independent motion picture called Spider-Man: No Way Home. Edgar Wright! The writer-director-producer who needs no introduction, sure, but just in case: he's the man behind the Three Colours Cornetto trilogy, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Baby Driver and now Last Night In Soho, his latest, starring the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie. This is an audio version of his Movies That Made Me interview, so we go deep on everything from his dream pub quiz team to his incredibly impressive Blu-ray collection. Here Adam speaks to Ali about his 'Story So Far', how many Kylo Ren masks he has at home and what it's like working with the Coen Brothers.

An unusual Friday edition of Radio 1's Screen Time as friend of the show (and stand up comedian extraordinaire) Alasdair Beckett-King stops by to talk to Ali at length about what makes a good Christmas movie - and what makes a good Christmas special of a sitcom. Bold statements are made, names are misremembered and stories are conflated - just the way you like it.

Netflix's The Power of the Dog is the latest from the critically-acclaimed filmmaker Jane Campion, and as such it's really quite a big deal indeed. Helping matters is its excellent cast, including the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jesse Plemons, the first three of which you'll hear from today on this interview special podcast episode. They talk about Campion's legacy, shooting in New Zealand and how the pandemic made things just a tiny bit trickier, to say the least.

Ali Plumb's Film Club returns with an earlier-than-expected trip to the festive film cupboard as friend of the show Ash Crossan joins Ali to talk about National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Before we dig into Chevy Chase falling off ladders and the like, Encanto and House Of Gucci also get reviewed - more or less - and the perils of 4-minute interviews over Zoom are discussed.

The upcoming TV show Hawkeye finally gives everyone's favourite MCU marksman his time to shine - though as Jeremy Renner will tell you, he's been shining perfectly fine for the past decade, thank you very much. Joining him on his new Disney+ adventure is the prodigiously talented Hailee Steinfeld, playing one Kate Bishop - an extremely important character in the Hawkeye comics - as well as Vera Farmiga, Alaqua Cox and more. On this here podcast you'll hear from both of Hailee and Jeremy about how they got their roles, the new 'Rogers: The Musical' seen in the show and the fine art of firing a bow (and looking cool) on camera.

There's a huge amount at stake with this one! And a killer cast, including Kit Harington and Gemma Chan, both of which you'll hear from today, as well as our Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao, not forgetting Don Lee and Ms. Jolie herself.

There are so many films to watch in UK cinemas right now: Dune, No Time To Die, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, The French Dispatch, The Many Saints Of Newark, Last Night In Soho, Eternals, Spencer... the list goes on and on. It's Halloween! Or, perhaps, by the time you read this... it was Halloween! So that explains why friend of the podcast and die-hard Scream aficionado Louise Blain stops by for a special 'Ali Plumb's Film Club' all about the original Scream, 26 years after it first hit cinemas. Expect discussions and descriptions of a variety of unpleasant Screamy activities - in a fun way! But also in a "just so you know" way, just so you know.

Dune is finally in cinemas and that is a very, very, very big deal indeed. Here's the wonderful and ever-charming Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica in the film) to talk all about it - more or less - with Ali, as you, dear listener, specifically requested. Succession series 3 - or should we say 'season 3', as it's a US show, even if it's written by a mainly British writing staff? Anyway... - is finally here in the UK on Sky / Now and Ali is very excited about that indeed. Here he is, geeking out about one of his favourite TV shows on air today with three of its stars: Sarak Snook, Brian Cox and Matthew Macfadyen. Warning - and this is a BIG WARNING - these conversations contain plenty of strong language, just like the show itself. Also, spoilers for series / seasons 1 and 2. Now you know!

Halloween Kills is the twelfth installment in the Halloween franchise. That's right, twelfth. It's only the sixth - we think - to include the legend that is Jamie Lee Curtis, and it's also the follow-up to 2018's Halloween, the box office winner that reset the timeline and ignored the previous sequels. On this particular interview special, you'll hear from the queen of scream queens as she explains just how unglamorous it is to shoot a low-budget horror and what she has/had planned for the Halloween Kills red carpet...

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is finally in UK cinemas - two weeks after it first dropped over in the US - so now feels like the perfect time to unveil our 'Becoming... Venom' interview with Tom Hardy. Ali and Tom dig deep on what makes the character(s) tick, touching on the voice, the look, the attitude, the everything. It also contains some terrible Venom impressions from Ali, for which he can only apologise.
