On March 3, activists led by Rainforest Action Network (RAN) held simultaneous protests in front of Citigroup’s New York City and San Francisco offices on to demand the company stop funding coal mining. According to RAN, Citigroup is looking to finance the purchase of coal mines in New Mexico and Colorado, despite having a policy on its books to sunset these harmful investments.
