Kenra Stansbury wrote a letter to her 3-year-old daughter, for the hypothetical day that she might compete in sports and lose to a transgender girl. As a straight cisgender LGBTQ ally, daughter of coaches and former athlete, Stansbury asked Outsports to share that letter with our readers, and joined Karleigh and Dawn to talk about the lessons of losing, the importance of supporting trans athletes and yes, her memories of watching Star Trek. She was a fan of The Next Generation and grew up watching The Original Series with her mom, who headed her school's Gay Straight Alliance.
